Darning
Cloth I have re-weaved onto things.
Repairing some holes on a bedspread! These were the first real darns I did without my knock-off Speedweve.
I burned a hole through the pocket of a shirt, and I darned both sides of the pocket without sewing it to itself! Here's the front...
...and here's the back!
Here's a video of me flipping the pocket over so you can see how I darned it without sewing it together. I'm pretty proud of this because I didn't really have anything to separate the two holes while I was darning.
I don't know how to Swiss darn yet and I haven't gotten to that level. Here's a woven patch on a knitted piece of fabric. You're welcome.
These were old socks that had worn down a lot in some places! At this time I was still using a speedweve, not weaving in my ends well, and using cotton thread on wool socks. I don't do any of those things anymore!

Big Projects
Skinny Jeans Knee
Not my first actual vismend project, but the first big one. I had a large hole in the knee of some skinny jeans, and wanted to keep them long instead of cropping them. I think knowing what I know now, I'd only have done vertical and not horizontal stitching. I still like these jeans, though! I added more details like bias tape over places the hems were wearing thin after these photos were taken.
The first pass I did with horizontal stitching over some skull and crossbones fabric I used as a patch. The fabric does not stretch well around the knee now (go figure!).
Some extra vertical stitching with glittery thread. Makes good texture.
A small hole high up on the thigh/hip area, over the pocket. Just a small little mend to stop the hole from getting bigger.
Overall Shorts
A pair of shorts I fixed up and am pretty proud of!
The front pocket had a big hole in it that I patched with floral fabric and embroidered over.
Both of the legs also had holes, the first of which I patched with a stars and moon motif and darker jean material.
The second leg hole got some skull and crossbones material I used for another project, and a sun tightly blanket-stitched around the edges.
Other Mends
Anything that is a mend that doesn't fall into the first two categories.
These boots had rips down the rear seams when I got them from the thrift store, but I very messily tacked these iron-on cactus patches over the tearing fabric back in 2020. I think this is actually my first visible mend!
The butt started to get weaker on these pants around the pockets. I reinforced the inside of the pockets with fabric from the legs after cropping these pants, then distracted from the stitching on the butt with vines!
I embroidered some vines over holes that were starting to wear around the printed parts of this t-shirt. I think it looks cool a little overgrown.
MORE DARNING HAHAHA!!
I let this wear and thinness in a sock go a bit too long and ended up needing to put a fairly large patch in.
Here's the inside to show the extent of the damage.
